Interactive Technology at Albany Leadership

After discussing multiple scenarios, and reviewing compliance policies from the Governor, NYS Education Department (NYSED) and the NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH), the ALH Leadership Team has been working to develop plans and considerations for a safe return to school. Our plan is rooted in the health, safety, and well being of our students and staff as well as focused on educational equity.

As a result, Albany Leadership proudly announces that we have 1:1 technology for our students including Chromebooks, and new interactive Smart Boards. These new technologies allow each student to participate with their classmates and teachers in real-time. Each classroom will have cameras and microphones so real-time lessons are clear and every lesson can be recorded. Allowing students to go back and review their lessons. In addition to the One Call, PowerSchool, Email Marketing, and Social media platforms used for ALH communications, we are incorporating interactive software systems like Schoology, which increases communication among students and teachers.

From accessibility to adaptive learning, there are many benefits to 1:1 technology. ALH students will continue to build their skills in communication, collaboration, research, and decision-making in ways that will prepare them for future academic pursuits and success in their careers. With this new technology, Albany Leadership’s teachers and staff can continue our mission of preparing students for the college and the career of their choosing.  Technology such as this continues to be an integral part of the college success culture.
