Our ICAN (I Can Achieve a Nursing Degree) students recently took a bold step toward their future careers in healthcare by participating in a hands-on certification training at Russell Sage College. This field trip offered an incredible opportunity for our scholars to complete their phlebotomy certification, gaining both practical skills and real-world experience in a collegiate setting.
Throughout the training, students demonstrated professionalism, focus, and a commitment to excellence as they learned the essential techniques of blood collection and patient care. This milestone is more than a certification—it’s a powerful step toward future careers in medicine, public health, and beyond.
