Albany, NY — Albany Leadership Charter School for Girls (ALCS) is proud to host the Clear Choices Summit: Vaping, Tobacco, and Marijuana Awareness Assembly as part of its ongoing commitment to student wellness, education, and prevention.

The assembly is presented in partnership with Addictions Care Center of Albany, Inc. (ACCA) and is designed to educate scholars on the risks associated with vaping, tobacco, and marijuana use while empowering them to make informed, healthy choices. Through age-appropriate, engaging presentations, students are encouraged to think critically about peer pressure, decision-making, and long-term health outcomes.

Assemblies will be held throughout the month of February and will reach all grade levels, 6–12, ensuring that prevention education is tailored to meet students where they are developmentally. The first session was held today for seventh-grade scholars, marking the start of a schoolwide initiative focused on awareness and prevention.

“This partnership with ACCA allows us to provide our students with credible, impactful information that supports both their academic success and overall well-being,” said Director of Advancement, Ms. Rowell. “Prevention education is a critical part of preparing our scholars to lead healthy, informed lives.”

ALCS remains committed to fostering a safe, supportive learning environment by partnering with community organizations that align with the school’s mission of empowering young women to lead with confidence, knowledge, and purpose.
