Albany Leadership Charter School for Girls is proud to announce that Coach Shields has been selected as one of only five national finalists for CharterUp’s prestigious “Driving Greatness” Award, chosen from hundreds of nominations across the country.
This award honors educators and staff members who go above and beyond to inspire students, strengthen communities, and lead with passion — all qualities that Coach Shields embodies every day. His dedication to our student-athletes, his leadership on and off the field, and his commitment to empowering young women have made an incredible impact on our school community.
As a finalist, Coach Shields now has the opportunity to win $10,000 for himself and $10,000 for Albany Leadership’s Athletics Program. These funds would go directly toward enhancing athletic opportunities and resources for our scholars.
