On Tuesday, March 25th, Albany Leadership Charter School for Girls proudly participated in the annual Flag Football Jamboree, an exciting event that marked the official start of the season. Sponsored by the New York Giants, the jamboree brought together 16 teams from Section 2 for a day filled with high-energy drills, skill-building exercises, and mentorship from NFL players.

The event provided student-athletes with a rare opportunity to learn directly from professional players, who led specialized training sessions focused on agility, strategy, and teamwork. Participants honed their skills, connected with peers from other schools, and gained valuable insights into the game from experienced athletes at the highest level.

“This event was an incredible experience for our team,” said one of the ALCS players. “Getting to train with NFL players and see the level of dedication they bring to the game was truly inspiring. It made us even more excited to start our season.”

With the jamboree setting the tone for the season, the ALCS flag football team is now preparing for its highly anticipated first game, scheduled for April 2nd at Niskayuna. As the season unfolds, the team is eager to put their training into action and compete at their highest level.

Stay tuned for game updates and highlights as ALCS embarks on an exciting flag football season!
